Dr. Shiveindra Jeyamohan is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal reconstruction, and revision procedures for patients with complex spinal conditions. His work focuses on treating structural spine disorders that continue to affect movement, nerve function, and quality of life despite prior treatment.
Raised in New Jersey, Dr. Jeyamohan completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University before earning his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University. He went on to complete neurosurgical residency training at Albany Medical Center, where he also pursued focused spine training before advancing into fellowship specialization at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle. There, his training combined neurosurgical and orthopedic spine techniques with emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, spinal deformity correction, reconstruction, and revision procedures.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Jeyamohan has treated a wide range of spinal conditions, including nerve compression, degenerative disorders, traumatic spinal injuries, tumors, scoliosis, and complications related to previous spine surgery. His surgical interests include minimally invasive decompression procedures, cervical spine conditions, motion-preserving techniques, and complex reconstruction involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
After several years in practice in Seattle, he returned to the Northeast and has continued building spine surgery programs while serving in leadership roles including Chief of Surgery and Director of Neurosurgery. His experience spans both routine spinal procedures and highly complex surgical cases requiring detailed reconstruction and revision planning.
Dr. Jeyamohan takes a measured approach to spine surgery and believes patients benefit from understanding all available treatment options before surgery enters the conversation. He works alongside the Comprehensive Pain Solutions team to ensure patients receive coordinated evaluation from both surgical and non-surgical perspectives before treatment decisions are made.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Jeyamohan contributes to the field through research, publications, and presentations related to spine and neurological surgery.
